AWS Weldmex-FABTECH MEXICO-Metalform Show Sets Another Attendance Record!

Monterrey, Mexico – May 31, 2011 –The 3rd edition of the AWS Weldmex-Fabtech-Metalform Expo held May 11-13 in Monterrey, Mexico set another attendance record of 7086 buyers.  With over 57,000 net sq. ft, 241 exhibitors and 7086 attendees, the event surpassed the previous record of 6156 attendees in 2009 in Monterrey, Mexico. “We could not be more pleased with the turnout”, said Chuck Cross, show manager.  “The attendance numbers were great, but the quality was more important” stated Cross.  Executives from Caterpillar, John Deere, Whirlpool, GM, Magna, Metalsa and PEMEX were among the number of high quality attendees who participated in the event. The mega event which combines AWS Weldmex sponsored by the American Welding Society, Fabtech Mexico, sponsored by the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and Metalform sponsored by the Precision Metalforming Association has grown over 50% the last three years.
